‘Learning Lessons to Improve Care’ – Publication of A Quality Review in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland

Local Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), the Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) and University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL) have today published a ‘quality review’ conducted into previous patient cases in order to understand where lessons about care could be learned.

Friday (18 July) Heat health alert for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland

The Met Office has issued a level-two ‘heat health alert’ for people to take extra care on Friday, as well as the weekend (18-20 July).
Hot winds flowing from the continent are set to see thermometers soaring to the high 20s Celcius on Friday, even if skies are overcast, with a very humid night to follow. Heavy thunderstorms in some eastern areas on Saturday will lead to slightly lower maximum temperatures, but it will still be very humid.

Everyone Counts – Co-designing community engagement

In March 2014, we started a conversation with local people on how they would like co-designed, person centred commissioning of health services to be different.  

Over 100 members of our local community came together to start the conversation, sharing their thoughts and experiences from different angles, reflecting on stories and experiences of care; talking about their feelings relating to current and desired experiences of keeping well and addressing improvement challenges.
