NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (AG CSU), on behalf of the Commissioners, West Leicestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), East Leicestershire and Rutland CCG and Leicester City CCG, would like to invite potential providers to attend a market engagement event in relation to the CCGs' plans to procure a programme to Promote Resilience in all schools and Further Education of LLR.

West Leicestershire CCG appoints External Auditor

The West Leicestershire CCG Governing Body has appointed Grant Thornton LLP to be the CCG’s external auditor with effect from 1 April 2017 following a recommendation by the CCG’s Auditor Panel.

The appointment is in accordance with the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014.

The appointment is for a period of three years, with the option to extend the contract at the end of the period for a further two years.

NHS calls for views on fairer and sustainable Continuing Healthcare

Members of the public and local patients receiving Continuing Healthcare (CHC) funding are being invited to take part in a public consultation on changes to a policy which aims to make CHC funding fairer and sustainable for all eligible patients across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR).

The local Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) responsible for LLR - East Leicestershire and Rutland CCG, Leicester City CCG and West Leicestershire CCG are proposing changes to the current ‘Settings of Care’ policy.

People urged to support their loved ones after leaving hospital

The local emergency department in Leicester is currently extremely busy, with many seriously ill patients in the department requiring admission to hospital.

To support Leicester’s Hospitals in admitting those who need to be in an acute hospital setting, the local NHS is moving patients who are medically fit for discharge to settings suitable for the needs of patients across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, but that may be different from settings that patients might expect.
