Nicky Harkness has joined West Leicestershire CCG as Director of Service Redesign and Integration. The new role will focus on improving community services and developing new integrated locality teams across Leicestershire and Rutland.
Patients in West Leicestershire are being advised to see their pharmacist in the first instance for advice on minor conditions such as indigestion, travel sickness or diarrhoea which can be treated quickly by an over the counter medicine.
The advice comes after NHS West Leicestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), the organisation that buys health services locally, reviewed how people access over the counter medicines for the short term treatment of minor conditions.
Burbage Practice is asking their patients to get involved in a project to extend the practice that could see over £2million spent on improving the quality of patients care.
The Burbage Surgery in Hinckley is currently working on some exciting proposals to extend the building which will increase the number of services provided and greatly improve the quality of the environment and the patient experience. They are asking their patients during October to get involved in the project and share their experiences and insights, by completing a survey.
