The CCG has extended its consultation on the whether certain medicines should be available on prescription. The consultation covers treatments for minor ailments, such as hay fever, athlete’s foot and mild eczema which are available without a prescription from a pharmacist. It also includes Vitamin D supplements in some cases.
Views are also being sought on whether specialised infant formula which can be prescribed for babies with reflux or lactose intolerance should be available on prescription.
