Public invited to give their views on GP Out of Hours service

22nd May 2013

West Leicestershire Clinical Commissioning Group is inviting members of the public to have their say on plans to develop GP Out of Hours services across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

A new contract for the Out of Hours service, which patients call for medical advice when their GP surgery is shut, together with the future NHS 111 phone service, will be commissioned jointly by West Leicestershire, East Leicestershire and Rutland and Leicester City CCGs.

As part of West Leicestershire CCG’s commitment to making sure local communities play an active role in developing local health services, people are being invited to attend a workshop event and let the CCG know how they currently use the service and what changes could be made to make the service even better.

The workshop will be held on Wednesday 29 May between 6.30pm-8pm at John Storer House, in Wards End, Loughborough, LE11 3HA. Light refreshments will be served from 6pm and there will be full disabled access. Those wanting to attend should contact Penny Harris by emailing
