Access to advice and support made easier by First Contact Plus
Access to key information, advice and support services in Leicestershire has now got even easier, thanks to a new online service from First Contact Plus.
First Contact Plus is run by Leicestershire County Council and works in partnership with GPs, the police, health organisations, voluntary groups, social care departments and district & borough councils. First Contact brings a range of services to vulnerable people aged 16 and over who are resident within Leicestershire.
Staff members from any of the agencies involved in the scheme, such as health organisations and the police can now refer vulnerable people for help and support to the First Contact Plus team using a new online referral service. People aged 16 and over will soon be able to refer themselves directly through the online service and benefit from all the help and support that is available when the self-referral online service launches in January 2017.
The First Contact Plus website provides key information and resources on housing, health, living independently, money advice, work, security and much more.
