Integration for Better Care

Our Conference, Annual General Meeting (AGM) and exhibition took place on Monday 11 September 2017 at Holywell Park Conference Centre, Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park.

Our conference this year focussed on how we are integrating services to improve care for patients in West Leicestershire.   Delegates heard about how better coordination of care is supporting patients at the end of their life, helping them to manage long-term and chronic conditions and responding to their urgent and immediate care needs.

The AGM was an opportunity to hear about the work of the CCG during 2016/17.  Chair, Professor Mayur Lakhani and Managing Director, Toby Sanders, presented the achievements, challenges and developments during a year that saw the CCG gain an outstanding rating from NHS England in the annual assessment of our performance.  There was an update on the progress of Better Care Together – the Sustainability and Transformation Plan for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

An exhibition by representatives of health and care organisations, including the voluntary sector and support groups, provided attendees with the opportunity to meet and find out more about the excellent work they do in West Leicestershire.
