The Surgery Ashby and Measham Medical Unit have been working together in response to improvements requested by the Care Quality Commission, the organisation that reviews quality of care in the NHS.
GPs at the two practices believe the working arrangements have worked well and would now like to make these formal through a merger of the two practices. A single larger practice team will offer significant benefits for patient care. Both surgeries place a high value on patient-centred care and a merger will not reduce the quality of services or the availability of appointments to our existing patients.
It is, however, important we hear your views and there are several ways in which you can have your say. You can also fill in an online survey here
The closing date for feedback will be 30th November 2018.
We are also planning to hold information events for patients, where you can come along and speak to staff about the proposed changes and what they may mean for you:
