We had a good turnout for our Annual General Meeting on Thursday 26 September 2019, at our Woodgate offices in Loughborough.
Our Chair Professor Mayur Lakhani began the meeting by paying tribute to colleague and friend Sam Kirton, who sadly passed away the week prior. Mayur gave an overview of the CCG, including it's composition, aims and responsibilities.
Caroline Trevithick, Interim Accountable Officer, took over from Mayur to present some of our key activities, achievements and challenges from last year, before Chief Finance Officer, Spencer Gay, updated attendees on our financial position and performance.
Carole Ribbins, Interim Chief Nurse and Quality Lead, then took us through the work and ambitions of the End of Life Taskforce for LLR (find out more here) before handing back to Caroline and Mayur who touched on Community Services Redesign and what lies ahead, both for 2019/20 and the longer term.
The questions from the audience were challenging but fair and the event went very smoothly. Those who attended were on the whole very positive about what they heard.
