Wendy Kerr, Independent Lay Member for Finance and Performance

Wendy has over 40 years of accountancy and financial management experience, and is an associate member of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA / CGMA). She recently retired having enjoyed a career spanning over 24 years within the NHS, including at director level managing a diverse portfolio of responsibilities including finance, contracting, performance and governance. Prior to joining the NHS, Wendy gained commercial experience within other non-healthcare related sectors. She is particularly interested in supporting the CCG as a Lay Member using her professional, commercial and corporate experience to improve patient outcomes through driving performance, quality and efficient use of resources. Wendy is married with a grown-up daughter, and together with her husband is a regular attendee at Leicester Tigers.
