Sarah has had a career in the public sector since leaving school. Prior to 2001 this was in local authorities and since then she has worked in various roles in the NHS mainly within commissioning organisations. She has past experience in strategic development, planning, service transformation, strategic estates, primary care and medicines optimisation.
Sarah held the role of deputy director of primary care for NHS Leicester City Primary Care Trust from 2007 and went on to join the Leicester City CCG in October 2011 as Director Strategy and Planning where she is responsible for strategic planning of services in Leicester City, developing strategic and operational plans and for the commissioning and transformation of a range of services. Over the last four years Sarah has been involved at a system level leading the development of system level strategic plans, supporting the development of a more collaborative approach at system level to the planning and implementation of services.
Since January 2020 she has held the position of Executive Director for Strategy and Planning for the three CCGs in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. In this role she is responsible for both CCG and system strategic and operational planning; developing place based plans; supporting the development of our collaborative arrangements and leading specialist areas such as Business Intelligence Estates and Population Health Management.
